Berq originally released his debut "Echo" in 2022 as an application for music colleges. However, the song went viral and catapulted him straight into the limelight. This was followed by the acclaimed EP "Rote Flaggen" (2023) and the self-titled debut album "berq" (2024), which turned out to be a lyrical diary - an intimate exploration of themes such as separation, loneliness, panic and growing up.

Berq's music is characterized by complex arrangements, unconventional production methods and a deep emotionality. He uses analog instruments in unusual spaces, shouts at microphones from a distance and transforms everyday noises into musical elements. His songs such as "Still", "Achilles" and "Mein Hass tritt dir die Haustür ein" are not just pleasant pop numbers, but artistic statements.
