TSV Hannover-Burgdorf looks back on a long tradition of handball dating back to the early 1920s. Emerging from TSV Burgdorf and reorganized into its current structure in 2005, the club has steadily climbed the ranks through several promotions. In 2009, the team made the leap to the 1st Handball Bundesliga, where the squad—known as “Die Recken”—has since established itself.
Today, TSV Hannover-Burgdorf is an integral part of the Bundesliga and regularly competes against the league’s top clubs. The club stands for continuous development, strong regional roots in the Hannover area, and a robust youth program that supports the sustainable development of the team.
ZAG Arena
The ZAG Arena is one of TSV Hannover-Burgdorf’s main home venues and, with a capacity of up to approximately 10,000 spectators, offers a modern setting for Bundesliga-level handball. The arena features state-of-the-art infrastructure and excellent visibility, making it suitable for both sporting events and larger gatherings.
