A look at history
When you hear Rot-Weiß Erfurt versus BFC Dynamo, you think of traditional duels between two clubs with an eventful history. Both teams have played in higher leagues in the past and now meet in the Regionalliga Nordost. These games are always hard-fought and full of emotion.
The last home game
Without head coach Fabian Gerber, who was absent due to other commitments, Rot-Weiß Erfurt played at BFC Dynamo on Friday evening. Assistant coach Thomas Kost took over, but the guests got off to a weak start. Stockinger scored in the 3rd minute after a mistake by RWE goalkeeper Schellenberg. Erfurt struggled, Dynamo followed on and had several chances. In the 26th minute, Suljic increased the lead to 2-0 after a cross. Shortly before the break, Soares scored out of nowhere with a header (45.+2).
After the change, Erfurt increased the pressure, but lacked ideas. In the final minute, their commitment was rewarded: Langner held his own against Reher and played to Hajrulla, who equalized. The game ended 2-2, meaning both teams have four points after matchday 30.
