The last encounter

HSV Hamburg traveled to SC DHfK Leipzig with license concerns and a clear defeat against Flensburg-Handewitt, who, like Flensburg, relied on speed. After the break, Leipzig extended its lead to up to eleven goals. Despite a timeout and a stabilized defense, HSV could not significantly reduce the deficit. Leipzig's Kristian Sæverås ensured a stable defensive performance with 13 saves, while HSV could not reduce the deficit any further. Leipzig celebrated a 39-27 victory in the end, consolidating eighth place and leaving Hamburg in ninth place.
