The last encounter
The Dresden Eislöwen started strongly in the match against the Selber Wolves and created two good chances early on through Knackstedt and Heyer. In the 6th minute, Knackstedt put the Eislöwen in the lead with a precise shot after he converted a pass from Vantuch. Shortly before half-time, Heyer increased the lead to 2-0 after a quick counterattack by Huard.
The Eislöwen continued to dominate the game after the break. The Selber goalkeeper prevented another goal from Knackstedt in the 30th minute, who had a good opportunity. The Wolves came back into the game in the final phase, but despite having a numerical advantage, they were only able to reduce the score to 2-1 in the last seconds through McNeill. Dresden defended their lead and secured the win.
