The last encounter
The Dresden Eislöwen started energetically against the Eisbären Regensburg and put the guests under pressure from the start. In the 7th minute, Knackstedt put the Eislöwen in the lead with a precise shot after successfully converting a pass from Bettauer. Regensburg reacted quickly and equalized in the 14th minute with a goal from Hager. Dresden, however, was not deterred and scored 2:1 in the 18th minute when Porsberger successfully finished after a quick counterattack. The Eislöwen dominated the second half and increased their lead to 3:1 in the 33rd minute with another goal from Knackstedt. Regensburg tried to catch up, but could only reduce the deficit to 3:2 in the 56th minute with a goal from Müller. Dresden defended their narrow lead and secured the deserved victory.
