Anyone who remembers the duels between SV Darmstadt 98 and Hannover 96 remembers many intense encounters full of excitement. Hannover fought back and equalized through Andreas Voglsammer in the 82nd minute, but the joy was short-lived: Killian Corredor scored immediately to make it 2-1 before Hornby scored the final goal with a penalty in stoppage time.
The match at the Merck-Stadion am Böllenfalltor was intense and offered the fans a rollercoaster of emotions. With this win, Darmstadt took a big step towards relegation, while Hannover had to bury their last hopes of promotion.
