The last meeting between VfB Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt at the MHPArena took place on 13 January 2026 in the Bundesliga and ended in a 3–2 home victory for VfB Stuttgart.

Stuttgart did not get off to the ideal start and fell behind as early as the 5th minute when Rasmus Kristensen scored with a header. Frankfurt looked highly efficient in the opening stages and made the most of their first clear opportunity.

As the first half progressed, however, Stuttgart gradually took control of the match. The home side enjoyed more possession and were rewarded in the 27th minute when Ermedin Demirović equalized. Shortly afterwards, Deniz Undav completed the turnaround by scoring for 2–1, giving VfB a deserved lead at halftime.

After the break, the match developed into an entertaining and intense contest, with both teams creating chances. Stuttgart missed several opportunities to extend their advantage, while Frankfurt remained dangerous and continued to push for an equalizer.

The visitors eventually leveled the score in the 80th minute through Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab, making it 2–2. However, Frankfurt’s joy was short-lived. Stuttgart responded brilliantly and regained the lead just seven minutes later, when Nikolas Nartey scored the decisive goal to make it 3–2.

During an exciting closing period, Eintracht Frankfurt threw everything forward in search of another equalizer. Nevertheless, Stuttgart’s defense withstood the pressure and held on to their lead until the final whistle.

As a result, VfB Stuttgart secured three important points and celebrated a narrow but deserved home victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in front of their fans at the MHPArena.
