The NFL will return to Munich in 2026 and once again host a regular-season game at the Allianz Arena as part of the NFL International Series. The league is thus continuing its successful presence in the Bavarian capital, which has established itself as a key international destination since the first NFL game in 2022.

The Detroit Lions are the first confirmed team and will play an official regular-season game in Munich in 2026. The exact opponent, as well as the date and kickoff time, will be announced when the full NFL schedule is released.

The game in Munich is part of the NFL’s extensive international program, which includes several games outside the U.S. during the 2026 season. The return to the Allianz Arena underscores Munich’s importance in the league’s international calendar as well as the continued high demand for NFL events in Germany.
