The last meeting between Hamburger SV and 1. FC Union Berlin took place on 14 February 2026 at the Volksparkstadion and ended in a thrilling 3–2 home win for HSV.
HSV started the match with great determination and took control of the game early on, but suffered an initial setback: Union took a 1–0 lead in the 28th minute through a penalty converted by Leopold Querfeld.
